The Wine Bar retains the laid-back atmosphere and rustic charm of 1923 when it all began. The liquor licence is still registered in the name of “Ye Olde Horse Wagon Trading Post”.
Originally a watering hole for the bullock teams lugging development into the Hunter Valley, it’s now affectionately know as ‘Luggas’, a watering hole for locals and visitors.
Relax and chat over a glass while you take in the ageless view of Laguna’s slice of the beautiful Wollombi Valley. If you haven’t got a story to tell when you arrive, you’ll have one to recount by the time you leave!
The tradition of meeting, eating, drinking and yapping is alive and well. Today’s Laguna community is as colourful and diverse as legend has ever known. Second home to artists, musicians, writers, tradesmen, farmers, thinkers and drinkers, every visit to the Wine Bar is a social event.
